History of Central Pike Elementary
The area around our school was once a series of rolling agricultural landscapes and close-knit family homesteads. For generations, the path across the southern edge of what is now Mt Juliet existed as a network of quiet country lanes.
As the area continued to grow, so did these sleepy connecting lanes. In 1983, the TN Department of Transportation officially designated the two-lane road as State Route 265, locally known as Central Pike. Now it is used as a vital artery connecting thousands of commuting families.
Central Pike Elementary represents a historic milestone for the area and Wilson County Schools. It is designed to serve the massive modern growth in the area by joining three incredible local schools' legacies: Rutland Elementary, Gladeville Elementary, and Southside. This new campus will stand as a bridge between Wilson County’s rich agricultural past and the bright, united future of the new generations who will learn here.
While this new building in 2026 brings new colors and a new mascot to the corridor, the spirit of Central Pike is entirely defined by the families, teachers, and students from these three historic communities joining together.
